Baby & Toddler Yoga Classes
Join me this August for the cutest yoga classes!
Tiny Yogis, Big Joy!
Looking for a place to connect with your baby and meet other parents and caregivers? Join me for Baby & Toddler Yoga to nurture community and bond with your little one.
Whether you are soaking up all the moments you can from maternity leave, adjusting to stay-at-home life, or a caregiver - bring your baby to explore movement and connection.
I’ll guide you and your little one through playful yoga songs, we’ll play with props, practice mindful moments and of course do yoga!
Little Stretches. Big Benefits.
Yoga for little humans supports their physical, emotional and social development. We sing songs, play with props and explore movement. Yoga builds strength and coordination and increases body awareness and better balance.
FAQs
When and where?
Beginning August 13th, we’ll meet Wednesday mornings at the Talahi Island Community Center for 6 sessions, running from August 13th - September 17th. Classes are each 45 minutes.
9:30am - Crawlers to 36 months (we meet earlier to get these kiddos back home for naptime!)
10:45am - Newborn - Pre-crawlers
Can I drop into just one class?
Yes, absolutely. If your schedule permits - I would love to see you and your little one regularly for the whole 6 week session - children benefit the most from the repetition of the songs and exercises! If you can only make one - that’s fine, too! Please register ahead of time so we can plan accordingly!
How soon after delivery can mama participate?
If you need community - we are here for you. As long as you are comfortable getting down onto the floor and back up, you are welcome to participate in our community circle - and you can simply observe the few brief yoga postures while cuddling with your little one. This not a fitness class for adults, but a movement class for our little ones. We recognize that maternity leave can be short and if you are looking for ways to meet new moms and socialize your baby, you are welcome to join us. We require that you are cleared by your doctor for exercise to participate in the simple yoga postures - usually between 5-10 minutes of class.
Can siblings attend?
I wish we could accommodate all ages! For now, these classes are designed for babies under 3 in order to keep all participants engaged and focused! Please contact me if you would like to discuss this further.
Do you offer these classes at any other times?
We’re planning another session on Wednesday mornings October - November, contact me for more information! Naptime schedules can be tricky. If you are looking for another time/day reach out to me. I planning to meet for toddlers on Monday afternoons once a month at the Frank Murray Community Center this fall/winter. Stay tuned!
